Corporate History
Formerly known as Open Designer, the company has been in business since 1996, mainly as a services provider using its own Designer and Generator technology. In 2002, Open Designer re-branded itself to Appligenics. The name reflects the new thrust of the company working with partners and end-users to deliver innovative results to business.
The company has gone through three stages in its development.
- Stage One was proving the basic concept. This was carried out in the late 1990s, using Cobol and RPG Generators. The concepts have been well-proven.
- Stage Two, involved taking the technology into the web world and redeveloping the products so that they generated Java and XML.
- Stage Three will see the deployment of the technology into a wide range of customer sites.
